The 3 Mile "Peace Like A River"
Memorial Trail Race

This trail race along the river is considered moderate and is a sample of the 10K race. Due to terrain, no strollers are allowed. There are gravel roads and fields where strollers are welcome.

Race Information

Water, Food & Showers

PLENTY of water stations will be located throughout the course. Snacks, fruit, water, and other items will be available at the finish.

Awards (5K)

• Overall: Top two Male and top two Female finishers.
• Age groups: Male and Female top three finishers:
  16 and under, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 and older.
• Masters: 40+, one Male, one Female (No double dipping.)

Awards Ceremony

The awards presentation and door prizes will be held immediately following the run and walk. Awards and
door prizes will not be mailed.

Pre-Registration Packet Pick-Up

Friday, August 22, 2008 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Spruce Pine, NC. Here is a map showing the church's location. A pasta dinner will be served at the church from 5:00-8:00 p.m. for participants. R.S.V.P. is requested, but not required.

Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-Up

Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 7:00-8:00 a.m. at Springmaid Mountain in Spruce Pine, NC.
The race begins PROMPTLY at 8:30, so please arrive early.
